Meet Alice

Alice Hardin is a folk singer and songwriter based in jackson, tn.

Alice has over 20 years of experience singing, songwriting, playing acoustic guitar and performing. In 2021, with hopes to have a job she could bring her kids to, she started teaching outdoor folk music classes. The Jackson community embraced the music and as her children grew up, so did her classes. Her love for children, nature, story telling and community mixed up and made this magical music circle happen!

Secretly, Alice’s favorite part of these classes is helping other post-Pandemic young families make connections with each other in a safe and fun environment.

Alongside teaching children, she enjoys teaching private and group guitar and ukulele lessons. She boasts offering the first ever all female group guitar class in Jackson, TN (that she knows of! hahaah).

When she isn’t making music she is hanging out with her husband and kids or performing with her improv comedy group, Hub City Theatre Improv!

Laura Grisham

Laura comes from a small town in northwest Tennessee where she began singing at a young age. She has been making music for over 20 years, spending much of her life singing, playing guitar, and performing. 
She also has nearly two decades of experience working with children of all ages and needs, with one of the most meaningful roles in her career: serving as a Child Life Assistant at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. This job was an experience that shaped her heart and her approach to working with children and their families forever. Through this work, she gained a deeper understanding of the power of play, the importance of choice, and the value of genuine connection.
Today, she is a small business owner, wife, and mom who cherishes every moment with her family, along with plenty of iced coffee, fiber art, and live music. Watch Laura make beautiful music here!

Music with Alice

Music with Alice, 30-40 minute family music class, is for 0-5 year olds along with their parents, grandparents and caregivers to come together every week to sing together!

These classes are specifically designed for all ages, as Alice teaches everyone finger play activities, hand movements, lap songs, call and response singing and ends each class with a lullaby to calm the children for the next part of their day. these classes are all acoustic and live unless alice gets a wild hair to have a dance party with a parachute or scarves.

These classes have a flow that allows quiet soothing and also lots of movement and big fun!

Each class is full of simple and enjoyable music from the folk tradition, classics you know and love, and originals written by Alice! These songs are specifically crafted with a wide range of ages in mind (even the adults will love it!)

Alice's classes encourage bonding and create one-of-a-kind memories that will last forever afterwards.

Every person deserves a chance to make music and these classes are a safe and fun space to do just that!
